How do I get started?

  2. Fill in your information and set your password
  3. Click the button to create your free account
  4. Have fun with your new Jute Threads account!

What is a parent thread, subpage and sibling page?

It can sound a little confusing, but it's pretty simple once it clicks! Here's some more info on them!
What are Pages?
  • Everything in Jute Threads lives on a Page

What are Threads?
  • Multiple Pages strung together is a Thread

What are Comments?
  • Every Page has a Comments section where you can easily interact with others or leave notes without altering the page itself

Parent Thread
  • original thread you first created

Subpage
  • nested within the Parent Thread it was created from
  • can create Subpages within Subpages

​Sibling Page
  • creates a page that is nested within the Parent Thread adjacent to the other Subpages

I forgot my password :(

​No worries! When on the login page simply hit the forgot password link and type in your email you used to create your account! You should get an email shortly walking you through creating your new password.

I can't find Jute Thread's emails in my inbox

Check your spam or junk folders! It might be hiding in there!

Do you have an app I can download?

Not yet! However we do have what is called a PWA, a progressive web app, so it will look like an app on your device but is still actually a website!

How do I create my first thread?

It's super easy! Just hit the New Thread button and start typing away!

How do I share my thread?

You can share it easily with the Sharing Link.
​PLEASE NOTE: the sharing link is not the same as the webpage url.

I want to leave a thread that was shared with me

​No worries! You can leave a thread by going to the list of collaborators and clicking the icon to the right of your name. So long as the owner of the thread doesn't reset the sharing link or turn it off, you can rejoin the thread anytime with the sharing link that was given to you.

Who has access to my shared thread?

Anyone with your share link can join your thread, once you have the people you want in there you can turn off the share link. This will mean no one else can join until you turn it back on.

I accidentally dragged my thread into a shared thread

Don't worry! You can simply drag it back out, you will get a popup notifying you that the collaborators of the page will change.

I deleted something in a shared thread but it isn't in my trash

Anything deleted in a collaborative thread will go to the trash of the thread owner.
That's their trash now >:)

How do I remove a collaborator from a thread?

Very easily! Simply go to your list of collaborators and click the icon to the right of them. Make sure to reset your sharing link as well otherwise they could join back in with the same link.

How do I reset my sharing link?

​You can reset the sharing link anytime within the sharing pop up screen, anyone that has already joined the thread will stay there, however if you boot them off they will need the new sharing link in order to join back in.
